Everyday is a Mother’s Day
I met top model Tanya Dziahileva for the first time in July 2009, during Paris fashion week Haute couture.
What strucks you immediately when you see Tanya, is her unreal natural beauty.
But because I come from a large family, one of my mantra during fashion week is this one : when a woman is obviously gorgeous, don’t focus on the obvious but try to reveal something greater than her natural asset.
After Dior fashion show, at Trocadéro, lots of photographers and curious are waiting after models to come out.
After a while, Tanya comes out. Photographers run after her, surround her in a matter of seconds only. So beautiful, so tall : she looks like an angel.
As photographers are taking countless pictures of her, I can see Tanya looking above the crowd, desperately looking after someone. She raises her arm, waves it to get noticed by the person she is looking after.
Suddenly I realize that she was not one of the biggest top model of the world anymore but just a young girl looking for someone to help her.
Who was this « someone » so important to Tanya ?
Suddenly Tanya runs in a direction : she found « the » person. I check out to finally discover who was this important person : her mother.
Very humble, her mother was waiting few meters away, in order to let photographers do their job. I was amazed.
Then Tanya grabs her mother’s arm and I immediately felt a love of love for his mother. It was beautiful. I couldn’t resist : I had to capture a candid pictures because I knew that someday I would share this story with you.
Dear Tany @tanyadyagileva , thank you very much for your trust and candid participation. Give my best to your so kind mother. Hope to see you soon.
- Sincerely, Kamel - (à Everyday is a Mother’s Day.)
